I've made several different things with the mix, it's convenient, produces good low carb results but it's not like bisquick or regular flour.
It works well for binding other low carb ingredients.

Pros:

As a breading, this is fabulous if you don't follow their recipe!
Cons:
Don't mix with the egg for breading/use an egg-water wash and dip in the mix-add some spices or parmesan-a bit bland.
I haven't baked with this yet, but have used it as a breading to make ONION RINGS! YUM! I added some parmesan and cayenne pepper to give it some flavor-delicate but FABULOUS! I tried the recipe on the box for deep frying and did not care for it, so a friend told me to just mix some egg/water, dip in and coat with the mix. When I tried that, I got addicted and had onion rings 3 days in a row-whoops!

Pros:

The biscuits were "almost" delicious
Cons:

Don't try the "cheese & garlic" biscuit recipe from the Carbsense website, they are incredibly SALTY! The recipe calls for 2 TABLESPOONS of baking powder plus 1/4 tsp. of salt. So I don't think the problem was with the mix, it was with the recipe. With "regular" baking powder biscuits, you only add 2 TEASPOONS of baking powder to 2 whole cups of all purpose flower. Other than that, the LC biscuits looked like biscuits, browned beautifully with a nice texture, and even stayed together when sliced in half for an egg & sausage "McBiscuit". I will try making them again with 2 TEASPOONS of B.P and NO salt!

Pros:

Works well and tastes fine once you figure out how to cook with it
Cons:
Expensive; salty; dry; first attempts at recipes are usually dismal failures

Overall I had success with it once I figured out how to adjust recipes accordingly. It's very salty and includes baking soda in the mix. My first batch of chocolate chip cookies were AWFUL (dry and salty). My husband and step-kids all tried them and spit them out. However, the second batch turned out great - I made peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, omitting the baking soda and adding minimal salt. The peanut butter gave it the extra moisture it needed. Also made biscuits that were so-so (too little baking powder this time), but now that I know how to work with it, the next batch will probably be much better. Overall, it's a decent product if you don't mind a little trial-and-error baking. Works well mixed with almond flour. I will definitely buy it again.

This is by far my favorite low carb baking mix. I use it as a coating for chicken and onion rings. Mix it with some parmesan cheese and garlic herb dry salad dressing mix and you've got a chicken/onion ring coating that can rival any Shake n Bake mix!

Didn't care for it on my pork chops, but used it on Eggpant fries and it was really good. Also use on chicken tenders. May try as pie crust or biscuit mix since others say they aren't that good.

I use it for fried chicken. I made some biscuits they were dry and not very tasty. Walmart had a $1 clearance on all carbsense products.

The taste is awful. I made a pie crust with this and tossed it and ate the filling. I really don't like that the pictures on low-carb baking mixes are blatantly just false. I'll try adding yeast to see if I get something better since strictly following the recipes from the company are giving me bad results.

It Works! Tastes a lot better than Atkins Bake Mix

I'm on the South Beach Diet, which emphasizes the RIGHT carbs, so I may be able to have more carbs that some of you on the Atkins.
I'm going to try more recipes with this, but add more liquid than the recipe calls for for a moister result.
I made oatmeal cookies with this following the recipe on the lid of Quaker Oats. I used 1c of the baking mix + 1/2 c whole wheat flour; replaced the 1c of brown sugar with 1/2 c Splenda, 1/2 c sugar and 1/2 c dark molasses. Replaced the 1/2 c granulated sugar with Splenda. Added 1/4 c cream. Followed the rest of the recipe, including adding the baking soda. You have to have SOME sugar, or the cookies will not have the right texture. AWESOME. Even my non-dieting friends loved them.
I also made pancakes with it, but I think I doubled the liquid it called for on the recipe on the box. I liked those, too!

Great butter holders
Cons:

Bitter soy background taste

I used the CarbSense cheese and garlic recipe, omitting the garlic powder and truely enjoyed the result. (I used sharp cheddar cheese.) These are great for when I am completely utterly sick of eggs for breakfast and when I am craving something to melt butter onto. They are most certainly best when freshly cooked although very tolerable the next day when microwaved and buttered. I have varied recipe using sesame oil for oil, sour cream for heavy cream, and have not had any issues with the salt content. (I do love salt a great deal!) I plan to use this for one of my Thanksgiving Day crutches.
