Pros: It has a nice looking can....
Cons: The price, the taste, the results.

Vile, horrible, nasty, gross taste. I can't advise anyone to buy this. We tried it in three different recipes and tossed it into the garbage.
If you love a strong soy flavor you might like this.

Pros: none
Cons: Expensive, repulsive taste

Expensive, tried 4 or 5 recipes, threw all of them out, along with the bake mix. Don't waste your money!

Pros: Makes good pancakes
Cons: Expensive. Odd flavor that may turn off people.

OK, I'm going to be an odd one out here. I actually like the Atkins pancakes. They taste like the outside of french toast to me. I also like the bake mix as a coating for cheesesticks. Still, enough people dislike the taste of the mix that I recommend buying only a single can at first.

Pros: none
Cons: doesn't taste good, strong soy flavor

I did not like the taste of the panckes I made with this baking mix. I tried it in a couple of recipes and substituted it when breading chicken and still did not like it. I do NOT recommend this.

Pros: Gives you hope that baking is possible
Cons: The taste.... ewww

I actually made some decent chocolate muffins. They were edible but not good.

Pros: a good substitute for small amounts of flour
Cons: strong distinctive flavor

I use this in small amounts for coating some items before frying, sometimes with ground almonds and sometimes alone. I like having a convenient flour type product!

Pros: to sub for sml amnt of flour
Cons: soy

I use this all the time in baking and cooking...in small amounts usually and with other "flours" like almond flour. I haven't tried any of the recipes on the container, but have had success with recipes from cookbooks and this board.

Pros: A sign that the low-carb industry realizes we really miss this stuff
Cons: Those with taste buds and noses that work will be disappointed

Here's my advice to anyone starting a low carb diet and thumbing through recipes: If you ever see the word, MOCK, or quotes around a major ingredient, such as, delicious "pizza," etc, be REAL careful. A small percentage of people can get used to eating a pizza on a giant freakin' mushroom, or using egg batter to make "crunchy chicken tenders," but the vast majority of people are used to the real thing, and will reject these mock substitutes right away.

After trying the Atkins Bake Mix I said to myself, "hey, you're just not going to be able to have cakes, breads or anything that needs flour for a while - just shut up and deal with it."

But I can see some people liking this. If you love munching on giant bars of soy packed with protein, or if you dislike the taste of pancakes or bread made with flour, you'll LOVE this bake mix!

Pros: Good for when you need a little flour sub
Cons: just a little off taste

I think these reviews are a little harsh. It was not bad compaired to a lot of things I have had.

Pros: convenience
Cons: price

The biggest drawback is how expensive it is. Taste wise, it does have a soy flavor, but it's not too bad if it's used in small amounts (1/2 cup or less). I've made a few recipes from this board with the bake mix, and they turned out great.

Pros: NONE
Cons: Taste

If you're looking for a mix to make pancakes, bread, biscuits, muffins, this it NOT IT. I tried bread and pancakes, neither of which was edible. I DID finally use it to roll up with sausage and cheese and bake some sausage puffs, and it wasn't bad if you mix it with something that has a strong flavor, but don't try to actually BAKE anything with it.

Pros: easy, very similar to a real baked good
Cons:

I was really surprised at how reasonable this product was after I read all the negative reviews. I made the quick bread on the box and it was perfectly tasty. Maybe one reason I didn't find the flavor objectionable was the fact that I have been baking all of our bread, muffins etc. for years with soy flour. So, I'm very used to the taste. I thought the bread would be good with peanut butter on top, but didn't want to add any carbs so didn't do it. It would also be great with bacon and eggs on top. In light of all the negative reviews, I wonder if the type of sweetner used may also have an impact on the results? For the record, I used Spenda.

This bake mix makes great fried chicken! Just add some salt and pepper to the mix... wet chicken with water and egg bath and then shake the chicken in a baggie with the mix in it... bake. VERY tasty!!

Pros:
Cons:

I finaly bought it after seeing it in so many recipes. It is fine as long as there are enough other flavors going on in the recipe so that it is not too strong.

Pros:
Cons:

I made the Atkins Garlic Toast Crisps and they were awful. I tried to make a Lemon loaf style baked good and it was saltly and horrble. . .tossed them. The first thing I made was the pancakes recipe on the can and they were okay but they tasted nothing like the premixed dry Atkins pancakes and waffles mix. It might have been the soy milk used but then it should have only called for water.

Pros: ok stuff if nothing else available
Cons: strong taste

This stuff was great back when there was nothing else out there. Now I prefer the Carbquick and almond flour mixes.

I really wish I had read these reviews before I spent the $15 a can for this stuff. YUCK!! The bread turned out more like cornbread, and bad cornbread at that...
Can't stand this stuff...

Pros:
Cons:

Atkins bake mix is Bad, Bad, Bad. Just get over it. Bread, cookies, pancakes are not in your future. Learn to love BBQ, meats, cheeses, salads and the like. It's all good eats. Believe me, no matter how hard-up you are for carbs, just enjoy your steak.
