Very much like a cross between a fig newton (the smoother texture of the outer cake), and a nutrigrain bar (the smooth filling). The question will be - how much maltitol. I seem to be quite sensitive - so the proof will be my belly in an hour or so.... Such a nice change from those nasty ol bars! It is small-don't expect to be filled up with just one bar. But it is good tasting and if you can't have a sit down breakfast, this is a good substitute. Just tried the strawberry today and really like it! Very fruity tasting. Made me wish for more!! They have a nice fruity flavor, and remind me of Nutragrain bars. As someone else said, the only drawback is the size. It's not e4nough to fill you up for breakfast. There is not quite enough to fill me up but when I go to breakfast meetings where donuts and pastries are served. There was no bad aftertaste in the filling. The outer covering was not gritty or "protein-like". It truly tasted like a Fig Newton or a breakfast bar should taste.
