Ruby Tuesday's has done a great job of finding low-carb choices on every page of the menu, plus has provided information on number of grams of carbs for several menu items on the table. There are appetizers, entrees, and even a low-carb cheesecake for dessert. I have been there 3 times now, and am thrilled to be able to order right off the menu with no substitutions. The whipped colliflower is especially tasty as a side dish, and their salad bar has long been a favorite. The price is the only drawback, as the bill is over $30 each time my husband and I go there. We DO always bring home enough to have a second meal, though, and so overall not a bad value.

I had to appetizer "Fried Chicken Wings w/Mild Sauce" as my main entree and a side of creamed spinach and creamy mashed cauliflower. The wings were excellent and the spinach was very good. The creamy mashed cauliflower was horrible. It was very grainy, runny/watery tasting and not much flavor. Wasted my money on that side. Over all, mine and my husbands meal was very tasty.

We were seated quickly by a friendly waitress.
The restaurant atmosphere was upbeat and the environment seemed clean and friendly.
Our appetizer was hot wings. They were very meaty but extremely hot (temperature hot). The taste of these wings was quite delicious.
Entrees were then delivered to our table. I had the Church St Chicken. It was an extremely small portion of a chicken breast with bacon, mushrooms, and swiss cheese. This tasted ok. The sides were broccoli and mashed cauliflower. THe broccoli was served as one big chunk and was overcooked. The cauliflower was runny and a bit carb-pricey (at 11 net grams for a small serving). My lunch date had the blue cheese covered steak and a side salad and broccoli. He did not eat the sides- the broccoli was overcooked and the salad was on the limp side. The waitress did not ask how his steak should be prepared and it was delivered medium well. The food overall had a slightly frozen-and-reheated quality in my opinion.
The restaurant did not provide nutritional information for these entrees on the table. They only give a net carb count for each entree. Nutritional information was offered for the salad bar, which we did not partake of. The waitress did seem educated about the low carb way of eating, and offered to go over some of the side items and their carb counts.
Overall, a mediocre dining experience for us, but we were pleased to see low carb eating choices in a mainstream restaurant. I have heard that their salad bar is very fresh, but we did not have the salad bar at this visit.

The salad bar, as always, was wonderful.
LC spicy chicken wrap tasted good but there was an obvious "over-carb" affect afterward. It made me feel incredibly sleepy.
I tried a sample of my companion's mashed cauliflower---yuck. It was nothing like the fresh mashed cauliflower I make at home. The mixture obviously is made from a mix. The mealy, greasy aftertaste suggests a load of transfats involved in the recipe.

We have a Ruby Tuesday less than a mile from our house and we love it. As far as the price goes, at least once a month we get a buy one get one free coupon in the mail.
I find they have a wonderful choice of low carb items. I have tried the Steak, hamburger wraps and the Chicken Ceasar Salad. All have been wonderful. The salad bar is also very good.
I have read numerous posts concerning thier cheesecake, but I have had a slice every week since induction and not had a problem. It is wonderful.

horrible wait time

We went to Ruby Tuesday this past Monday, and they were packed. Despite that, people seemed to be getting their meals quickly - but not us. We waited for what seemed like an eternity.
I got the Pepper Bleu Steak (blue cheese steak) which was DELISH. I got the broccoli on the side as well as the BBQ pork rinds, also very tasty. Finally, the waiter brought me out a free(!) piece of low-carn cheesecake for the wait. That was quite a nice treat.

My new favorite place to eat. I love being able to have a dessert. I left feeling so full that I almost felt guilty then realized I was allowed to have everything I ate. I had steak, salad and cheesecake. Didn't care about the price because it was soooo good.

Had to wait a LONG time for food

I eat at Ruby Tuesday's alot. I finally decided to try their version of a low carb burger and it was excellent. I think somebody had to go to the grocery store to purchase the low carb wrap for the burger as I waited almost 30 minutes before the food arrived but it was very good.

Pretty pricey for what you get...
|

I had the talapia fish with mashed cauliflower and salad. My friend had the steak. The mashed cauliflower is NOT anything like I make at home. I was really hoping it would be because it would be nice to have someone else do the work for once. It was gross - but I still ate it. The fish was fantastic... but overpriced and small. The steak was mediocre. The cheesecake was good - but pretty steep at 4.99 per plate. Overall, average experience at an overpriced cost.

phasing out low-carb

I went to Ruby Tuesday's hoping to see their low-carb menu and they said they just came out with a new overall menu and that they are phasing out low-carb dishes!!! I ended up getting their collosal burger, with no bun or ketchup, and the mashed cauliflower. It was pretty good, but I wish they still have all their other options!!!

Mashed Cauliflower was yucky!
|
|
I ordered the salad bar, a small sirloin w/ steamed broccoli and the mashed cauliflower. The salad bar and steak were great. The broccoli had very good flavor as well. I didn't care for the mashed cauliflower at all. I am very hit or miss with cauliflower so YMMV. I ended up getting a piece of the low-carb cheesecake as well. It was the BOMB, but I regretted getting it afterwards because I was STUFFED!

Discontinued the LC cheese cake which is why I would go out of my way
|
|
I was so impressed when Ruby's began offering a specail menu for LC eating and the cheese cake was such a welcome treat to my usual choices when eating out. Just about two month's ago when I went to eat there I found that they no longer offer the cheesecake and they although they still offer nutrition counts on their foods it just isn't the same any more. I used to beg my family to go to Ruby Tuesday's when eating out and that required a 25 min drive out of our area but now I only go when I am in that area anyway. Too bad
