Kudos to DonPablos for giving us another low carb option in the chain restaurant industry.
They serve fajita meat (beef, chicken or fish- I ordered beef) in BIG huge lettuce leaves. These promptly fall apart & are a little messy, but do the trick for the most part. The veggies are all low carb and crisp (asparagus, squash, etc). The meat is OK and they serve an appropriate quantity for a light meal. (I personally like Chili's fajita meat better for some reason, though.)
The sauce served with these is a little suspect. It seemed creamy and spicy, but I couldnt identify it for the most part and therefore I didnt eat it. I don't like mystery sauces. The waiter could not produce an ingredient list, either, which troubles me. He didnt seem very knowledgable about the lowcarb lifestyle, either, as he presented the sauce saying, "Of course this is low fat". Thats not what I want to hear when eating low carb!
I also had a locarb margarita- quite delish and indistinguishable from the real thing. I should have ordered it frozen.
Overall this was a pretty good meal experience. Its always good to know a lowcarb option exists for when everyone else is clamoring for Mexican/TexMex food!

Such a shame that DP has removed their LC options from their menu. However, if you go there you can always check out their grilled items (although watch out for the side items -- beans or beans and rice) or their fajitas (minus tortillas).
