These are great, simply for the fact that they provide psychological reassurance that says, "remember when everyone in the room was eating nachos and drinking beer during the football game, and you sat there with a glass of water and bowl of spinnach? Well, it's actually WORKING!"
You'll never look at peeing the same way. These strips tell you that ketones are present in your body - the bi-products of burning fat. The more purple the strip turns, the more ketones you have.
Just to get a "control group" test going, I gave these strips to two room mates, asked them to 'do their thing' and let me know what color it was. Niether one turned color - which is completely normal, and in fact exactly what is supposed to happen for someone who eats a regular diet. I, the Atkins kid of the house, turned the thing dark pink/light purple, which told me that all the sacrifices I'm making are actually paying off. What a great feeling.

While it doesn't actually do anything to help you lose weight, it is good to moniter your progress and when you have the color change, it makes you want to try harder not to blow it.

These definitely show when I'm in Ketosis and not. Used them for two days before induction, then throughout induction and on a few cheat days. Watched as they went from nothing to dark purple as I induced my body to burning fat, and confirmed it as the scale started dropping. Then cheated a day and say the purple disappear! And slowly brought it back...
They work for me and are a good motivator. Last forever too when you only use one or two day.
