Description:

ThickenThin not/Starch thickener is the perfect thickener for lowcarb or grain-free diets. It recreates the thick rich textures you want without adding calories, fat, or carbohydrates. It even gives you fiber, all of it the soluble fiber that is so hard to get on a restricted diet. (Note: we follow US nutrition label law which requires reporting 4 calories per gram from soluble fiber, even though the human body cannot digest it.)
Suggested uses: sauces, soups, gravies, and salad dressings.

works like cornstarch

Cons:

expensive

A little goes a long way. If you use too much, you will be able to taste it and it has a little bit of a soy taste. However, it works wonders in stews and gravies.

This product would have received a perfect 10, but the price is outrageous!
Thankfully, a little does go a long way. I use this to thicken my low carb gravies and soups, and it does the trick without adding carbs. It also adds more fiber to your meal. This is a must-have item in every low-carbers kitchen. Let's just hope the price comes down!

Pros:

A little goes a looong way/lasts forever
Cons:
super pricey/kind of "grainy"-tasting
A whisk is needed to congeal this thickener into recipes or like flour or cornstarch, it clumps. But that's to be expected. Great for gravies and heartier soups.
