Pros: Good coating product
Cons: Too coarse for baking with

Product is great for coating things for deep frying ... tastes great on scallops & haddock especially. Didn't care for heavy texture of batters for breads or pancakes. Taste is pretty good (nutty), not like those soy products!

Pros: very tasty and good to cook with
Cons: expensive when using for baking quantities

I have used this almond flour to make LC 'sugar' cookies and also pancakes. It has a yummy taste (nothing like soy), a bit nutty, but I think it's a great substitute for flour. I just wish it wasn't so expensive becaus it goes fast when using in recipes.

Pros:
Cons:

HAVEN'T BOUGHT ANY OF THIS YET BUT HAVE DISCOVERED THAT THERE ARE 6 CARBS PER ONE OUNCE WHICH ACTUALLY MAKES IT WORSE THAN WHITE FLOUR. ALMOND FLOUR HAS 6 CARBS PER OUNCE (24 CARBS PER 1/4 CUP AND WHITE FLOUR HAS 23 CARBS 1/4 CUP.

CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THIS IS BETTER?

Pros:
Cons:

I think you're comparing weight and volume incorrectly.

I believe a 1/4 cup of almond flour weighs about 1 oz.

Also, don't forget that half of the carbs in almond flour is fiber. Not true of white (wheat) flour.
