They are similar to jerky, but not as dry and salty. I have eaten these for a number of years. They don't store as long as some of the "convenience store" jerkies and beef sticks. The older ones are not bad, but the fresher you can get them, the more moist... These are great for traveling when you cannot mix up a shake or something.
