Italian Green Beans

1 pound green beans -- fresh, ends cut
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese -- (1/4 to 1/2)
(fresh, do not use cheese in the green can)
salt and pepper to taste
Steam green beans in about 1 cup of water. When green
beans are cooked to your taste, drain. Next, heat oil and
garlic in saute pan. Heat for 30 seconds.
Add green beans. Mixing the olive oil/garlic mixture and
green beans. Cook until garlic is soft but not brown.
Place green beans on a plate. Salt and pepper to taste.
Sprinkle parmesan cheese on top. Let cheese melt and
serve.
