Cooked Salad Dressing

2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1 dash paprika
2 tablespoons Splenda
1/2 tablespoon unflavored gelatin (Knox)
4 teaspoons cold water
3/4 cup hot water
1 tablespoon butter
1 egg -- well beaten
1/4 cup cider vinegar
Mix seasonings. Soften gelatin
in cold water. Add hot water to
seasoning mixture and stir until blended. Add the gelatin/water
and butter --
stirring until gelatin dissolves. Add this to the beaten egg
-- pouring slowly. Pour
all into saucepan and cook, stirring contantly until mixture
begins to thicken. Immediately, remove
from heat and stir in vinegar. Pour into a jar and set aside
to cool and thicken.
