Chicken and Bacon with Cheese Bake

1 1/2 pounds boneless chicken -- breasts, (1 1/2 to 2)
1 pound Bacon
6 ounces provolone cheese
1 tablespoon Basil
1 teaspoon pepper
Cut up chicken into bite-sized cubes. Cook in a fry pan over
medium-high heat. While chicken is cooking, cut bacon into
2 inch pieces and add to fry pan. Cook until chicken is done.
Drain fat from pan and put the chicken and bacon into a baking
dish in a single layer. Alternate broil and stir until bacon
is crispy. Shake on basil and pepper. Place cheese slices in
a single layer on meat and return to broiler until cheese melts.
Goes very well with steamed broccoli.
