Breadmachine White Bread

Recipe By :Chuck Dennis
Categories:Breads & Things

1 Cup Buttermilk
2 eggs -- beaten
2 Tablespoons butter -- cut into patties
4 cups high gluten flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons sugar -- to feed the yeast
1 packet quick rising yeast -- 1 1/2 teaspoons

Put the ingredients in the breadmachine in the order shown
above. Set the Bread Machine for 2 1/2 lbs loaf, White Bread
and Dark Crust and let her rip!

Check the dough during the kneading process. If the dough
appears to be to wet, add more flour a tablespoon at a time
until it looks and feels right.

Resting, Kneading, Rising and Baking will take about 3 hours
and 40 minutes. Remove the loaf from the Bread Machine as soon
as it is done and let it dry and cool on a rack.

This recipe produces a large loaf. 1/2 slice is sufficient for
a meal. It is excellent when toasted for Welsh Rabbit. Now, if
could just get some decent tomatoes.

Options: Reduce the High Gluten Flour by 1/2 cup and add 1/2 Cup Oat or Wheat Bran.
