How To Prepare:
|
Add cream and egg yolks to pot, and put on double boiler. Cook until the mixture is hot, but not scorched or boiling. About 20 minutes, it should coat a spoon, yet the heavy cream does this naturally. ( I also just did it long enough to feel my eggs were " safe " ) Remove from heat, add vanilla and sweetener. I had to experiment with my NEW stevia and add to taste, so this is an approximate. One could also use 1 Cup of splenda, but count the carbs. Now is the time to add any flavoring you might desire. I added 2 cups of STRONG coffee and almonds for mocha almond ice cream!!! Let mixture cool and place in ice cream maker and follow maker's directions. Voila!!
