Ingredients:
|
22 large mushrooms
1 pkg raw apple sausage breakfast links (may have skins)
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese
6-7 walnut halves chopped fine
1 lg shallot chopped fine
15 mushroom stems chopped fine

How To Prepare:
|
wash,de-stem & de-finn mushrooms(save 15 stems).Dry mushrooms with paper towells.
chop shallots, stems and nuts.
de skin sausages(squeeze them out).sautee shallots,stems,nuts,and sausage over medium heat.(use a little olive oil to prevent sticking). When cooked add cream cheese, blend together. Cook for 1 more minute, stir to prevent scorching. Remove from heat and evenly distribute mixture into mushroom caps. Place on cookie sheet. Cook in a 350 degree oven for 15-20 min. Mushrooms will exude moisture. When you remove them from oven tilt pan and soak up moisure with paper towells. Place on platter and serve warm.
