Description: A recipe for low-carb hot cereal that is my favorite...satifies my craving for oatmeal!
Ingredients: 1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup finely chopped almonds
1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
1/2 cup ground flax seeds
1 Tbsp. Xanthan Gum
How To Prepare: Place all but the flax seeds in a foil-lined jelly roll pan. Toast in 350-degree oven for 7 minutes. Let cool. Add flax seeds and Xanthan Gum. Store in a tightly-covered container in the fridge. To prepare for eating: Place 3 rounded Tbsp. of dry cereal in a bowl and add 1/2 cup water. Micro on power level 5 for 2 minutes. Add cream, Brown Sugar Twin and cinnamon (or whatever your favorite toppings).
Number of Servings: about 10-11
Carbs per serving - include all nutritional information if known: Per serving - carbs: 8.3g/fiber: 3.3g (5g net)
