It tastes better to me if the recipe for the crust is varied some.

Cons:

Following the directions on the box, makes the dough rubbery and difficult to roll out.

I've made this pizza crust mix several times. Each time I learned something new and how to improve it further. Pizza toppings are up to the user. It is really the crust that seals a pizza's fate. My personal choice is to totally ignore the directions on the box. My first reason is that the mix is mostly wheat gluten. The more you work gluten the tougher it becomes. I make 1/2 of the box at a time. This makes one large pizza. Use 1/2 the mix, 1/2 the yeast packet, 3 tablespoons oil, and 1 cup water (this is double liquid amounts for this amount of mix). Mix the liquids and yeast together, then stir in mix-- just till all mixed. Pour out onto greased pizza pan. Spreads more easily with watered fingers. Put into hot oven and prebake. One last suggestion: serve olive oil on the side to dip your pizza in if you like add a clove a minced garlic to the oil.
