My DH and I have tried many brownie recipes and this is our favorite.
I use 2 Tbsp. Davinci Raspberry in the batter (just enhances the chocolate). In place of 1 cup Splenda, I use 1/3 cup Splenda, scant 1/4 cup Erythritol, scant 1/4 cup Diabetisweet. For an extra treat, I mix up the cream cheese frosting w/ Irish Cream or Kahlua Davinci's. Best brownies - would make an excellent bottom to a decadent cheesecake.

Pros:
Timing was right; baked well with no unbaked :"raw" spots
Cons:
not "rich" enough, and splenda taste was part of problem

I am at a point in low-carbing where I am trying to find goodie recipes, and this one seemed, by ingredients to have what I wanted. So I made it today. Almond meal as an ingredient instead of flour seemed VERY rich, plus the butter and eggs. But the finished product was dry, and the sweet taste seemed very chemical to me. Maybe if I use an extra egg or add oil or use another sweetener it would work better.
