The seasoning and butter stick to the beans instead of sliding off. Ingredients: 1/4 cup cup vegetable or olive oil 3 Tablespoons butter 1 bag frozen french cut or petite whole green beans 1 1/2 Tablespoons meat seasoning (such as Montreal Steak Seasoning or Lawry's Perfect Blend Dry rub for chicken or beef...any dry rub seasoning should do.) How To Prepare: Place oil in large frying pan Turn on high heat Dump in green beans Sprinkle on Seasoning. Stir ingredients to mix. Leave on High Heat for 15 minutes, stir every 3 minutes. At the last minute, add butter, stir to melt. DONE! (Try this with frozen broccoli, but add 1/2 cup water and cover for first 5 minutes.) I used Omaha Steaks' seasoning and while it was good, it didn't have the "pow" I was expecting. This'll be a couple meals worth, and I'll try again with more seasoning. I cook the beans in 2 or 3 T of coconut oil and don't add the butter at the end. I also only use a T or so--okay, a heaping T--of seasoning. 2T of seasoning always seemed too salty to me. But I like things salty... so try this recipe with 1 tablespoon to begin with and go from there. If you dont' have seasoning on hand try- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon chile powder 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon oregano.
