Positive aspects of the product (pros): Very tasty
Cons: A little dry

These brownies taste so good it makes you feel like you are cheating. This is the first time I've used CarbQuick and so far, I like it!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): These tasted so good
Cons: none

My husband surprised me with these. They looked just like the picture. They tasted the way they looked. The carb count was low enough that I was able to have two.

A Definate repeat on these!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): n/a
Cons: Carb count is incorrect

Hi. Total carbs for this recipe as shown is 32. Since one cup of Splenda has 24 carbs & there are 4 cups required, the carb count is way off. The count for the unsweetened chocolate alone is 14.8. I quickly added up a count using Atkins totals and make this recipe out to be over 137 total (including icing) or 8.5 each. The Carbquik pound cake recipe on their website also appears incorrect. Did anyone else come to the same conclusion?

Positive aspects of the product (pros): N/A
Cons: CARBCOUNT

If you're using granular Splenda then the carb count for 16 servings (JUST the Splenda) is 6 carbs per piece. That's not counting any of the other ingredients.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Wanna Try Them
Cons: Carb Counts

4 cups splenda = 96 Carbs
3/4 cup Carbquik = 12 Net Carbs
so wouldn't that be at least 108 grams for the whole batch and 6.75 per if cut into 16 squares?
and I'm just counting the splenda and carbquik. I'm sure there are a few more hiding in these ingredients.

i wonder if chef Greg meant to use liquid splenda for the brownie part, but that would still be a total of over 60 for the batch or 3.75 ea.

but i think the consistency would be off if used liquid istead of the granular.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Tasty!
Cons: Neeeds alot of Splenda

These were very good (I have only had 1 warm, waiting for them to cool to try them that way too), and I didn't taste the normal Splenda aftertaste.

It takes ALOT of Splenda. 2 cups for the brownies and 2 "Powdered" cups for the frosting. When you use a blender/etc to make it powdered, it REALLY condenses. I would plan on needing double to get the 2 powdered cups for the frosting.

This was my first time using carb quick too. It was great to have a dessert that wasn't cream cheese based (don't get me wrong, I LOVE cream cheese!). Thanks!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): they are good
Cons: carbquick has a small aftertaste

these are good, I think the carb count is off also, but if you add 2 tsp benefiber you can subtract 10 carbs from the whole recipe, I didn't make the frosting for mine and I used about 3oz chocolate instead of 4oz.overall ther are worth the extra carbs..
