Description: A quick and easy alternative for cabbage rolls.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
2 medium onions - chopped
1 clove garlic - minced
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1- 14 oz. can tomato sauce
1 can water
1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice
4 cups cabbage - shredded
Sour cream
How To Prepare: Brown the beef. Add onions and garlic and cook until translucent. Add the salt, pepper, tomato sauce and water. Bring to a boil and stir in the rice. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Place 1/2 of the cabbage in a greased casserole dish. Cover with 1/2 of the rice mixture. Repeat the layers. Cover and bake in a 350F oven for one hour. Serve with sour cream. May be refrigerated before baking.

Pros: good if you are not low carbing
Cons: the rice drives the carb count way up

carb count is incorrect and is much higher than stated
