Pros: Ham - good
Cons:

i have always made ham and onion gravy - but I usually cook a ham - that way I have those delicious drippings! I just use about 1/4 - 1/2 cup of onions and the heavy cream - no sour cream. i brown my onions in the drippings and add about 1 cup heavy cream - this will be thin but delicious! Way less carbs

Pros: So quick and easy to make
Cons:

did mine like djcarbno, skipping sour cream today. My ham steak was 1/2 inch thick and used 1/3 cup frozen diced onions and the heavy cream about the same portion. Added a simple grind of garlic salt to the gravy. It was fantastic! But I started out with a bit of EVOO and a pat of butter in the pan. This helps with the drippings and gravy I found. Was browner than I expected but the flavor was great.
