How To Prepare:
|
Preheat oven to 350f. Spray
a 10" pie pan or spring form
pan with cooking spray. Fill
a cake pan with water and
put on the bottom shelf of
the oven. With a blender,
blend cream cheese, 4oz
blue cheese, cream, eggs,
salt, pepper and garlic
powder until smooth. Fold
in remaining blue cheese
and green onions. Pour into
prepared pan and bake,
covered, for 30 minutes.
Remove covering and bake
an additional 15 minutes
then place basil leaves,
then sliced tomato over the
top and drizzle with olive oil
and bake an additional 25
minutes. If not using
optional ingredients, just
bake as directed for a total
of 40 minutes uncovered. If
desired, sprinkle 1/4 cup
grated parmesan or
mozzarella cheese over top
and bake an additional 5
minutes. Add water to the
pan on bottom if it dries out
during baking time. This
makes about 8-10 meal
sized slices. Serve with a
loaded greek salad.
