2 pounds lean oxtails, washed and drained
salt and pepper
2 cups sliced cabbage
1 med. onion, chopped
1 can tomatoes (14 oz)
1 med green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 c. thickner
red pepper flakes
1 beef boullion cubes
1 c. diced, peeled turnips
6-8 okra pods, cut in 1/2 inch chunks
How To Prepare:
1. Place oxtails in stockpot.
Cover with cold water. Add pinch of salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat.
Simmer until tender, about 3 hours.
2. Add cabbage, tomatoes, onion, green pepper, boullion cubes,red pepper flakes and all purpose seasoning,and turnips. Simmer until veggies are tender.
3. Add okra and thickner. Simmer about 5 more mins.
