Description:
|
A very simple, easy to prepare and make recipe that is a healthy, delicious accompaniment to any meal. Super low carb!
|
|
Ingredients:
|
1 cup (about 8 spears) of fresh asparagus
2 Tbsp shredded parmesan cheese
2 pats of butter
1 light pinch of garlic salt (or powder)
1 steamer bag for microwave (optional)
|
|
How To Prepare:
|
Preheat oven for the broiler.
Cut asparagus into about 1" pieces. Remove tough ends if desired.
Place into steamer bag, add the 2 pats of butter. (If you like, you can boil it or steam it the old fashioned way, I just like the convenience of the steaming bags.)
Once tender, remove and place into small, shallow baking pan in a single layer.
Top evenly with shredded parmesan.
Sprinkle VERY lightly with garlic salt/powder. (Be sure not to overdo, you want the garlic to add to the parmesan flavor, not overpower it!)
Broil for about 2 minutes or so, until the cheese starts to brown.
Remove and enjoy!
This recipe is designed to create one serving, if you'd like to increase it, just double all ingredients for two, triple them for three, etc.
