Description:

I personally feel ribs have so much flavor on their own why overpower with too many ingredients?? Try these out
|
|
Ingredients:
|
5lbs Pork Spare Ribs
1 head of garlic, cloves smashed
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Butter
Chili powder
Sea Salt
Pepper (from a grinder)
Optional Sauce:
1/2 bottle Walden Farms Hickory BBQ sauce (zero carrrb!)
4TBSP Heinz low-carb Ketchup
TBSP fave no-carb hotsauce. I like Cholula for this recipe.
|
|
How To Prepare:
|
Preheat oven to 370'
Take a large broiler pan (grate removed), line with foil, and drizzle olive oil over the bottom.
Add Ribs, bone-side down, relatively close together
Drizzle more olive oil all over ribs, rubbing in w/ your hand
Generously salt w/ the sea salt (1st), then chili powder and about 7 heavy turns of mill-ground pepper
Sparingly cover ribs w/ garlic and pats of butter
Cover with more foil, then bake for 30m. Remove foil then increase temp to 500 and bake until crispy on the outside, appx 15-20m. No need to "flip" the ribs. [if you're planning on making BBQ pork ribs, apply the sauce liberally to the ribs at this point!]
YUMMMM.......
