One of my favorite foods is chili and I can't see having a Minnesota winter without it! The peppers in the tomatoes give it a little heat but with some cheddar and sour cream it is just right.
2 lbs. ground beef (0g)
1 (14.5 oz)can diced tomato w/green chilies (14g)
1 (8 oz)can tomato sauce (14g)
1 (6.5 oz)can mushroom pieces (1g)
1 (6 oz)can large black olives (slice) (11g)
3 C. water
1 (16 oz)can Bush's med.sauce chili beans (49g)
*(if you are in the induction phase, you may
choose to omit the beans for now.)
*** Spice to your taste with:
dried onion flakes,
salt & pepper
for recipe: With chili beans - 89g.
Without chili beans - 40g.
How To Prepare:
-Add all other ingredients.
-Add spices to your personal liking. I taste as
I go so I don't have exact measurements but the
spices listed above are my key choices.
Bring all to a boil and then simmer for 20-30 minutes to let the flavors set.
When serving, you can top with sour cream and shredded cheddar. This gives it a richness and might take out the bite for those of you that like a milder chili.
Cozy up with your family and enjoy!!
