2 sirloin steaks
piece of butter
1 med onion, chopped
tin of champignon mushrooms
green peppercorns in brine(1 tblsp)
some lo salt
fullfat creme fraiche or sour cream(250g/1 cup)
How To Prepare:
Slice sirloin steak into strips. Heat oil in heavy pan together with the butter. When very hot add the strips of meat and braise it, sealing in the juices. Add chopped mushrooms and then turn down the heat and let the meat simmer in the juices.
Crush peppercorns using pestle and mortar, add to the pan, add mushrooms after draining off the juice, season with salt. After about 20 minutes on low heat, add the cream and mix in well. Leave on low heat for another 5 minutes and then it's ready to serve!
Steam some mixed veg with it...goes well with the sauce!!!
