Place chicken broth, garlic, and banana pepper in pot and bring to a boil.
While waiting for boil, get out 4 soup bowls and:
1. Peel avocado and chop, put 1/4 into each bowl
2. Slice green onion, put 1/4 into each bowl
3. Chop cilantro, put some in each bowl
4. Cut lime into wedges
Ladle the hot broth mix into the bowls and serve with lime wedges
