Description: stuffed cabbage but not in your traditional red sauce. all carbs are from vegetables
Ingredients: 3 pounds ground pork
1 pound ground veal or beef
one onion
4 tbsp butter
ham slice
1/2 bacon slices
2 large heads of cabbage
2 heads of cauliflower
one large can of saurkraut
salt
pepper
2 eggs
How To Prepare: -chop cauliflower in food processor to give it a rice like consistancy
-put cabbage in boiling water to soften not cook
let cool alittle, slice the hard ends of the leaves to make it easier to roll
-mix cauliflower with pork and veal/beef, chopped onion, 2 eggs, salt, pepper
-stuff the mixture into the cabbage leaf and roll it up, pushing the ends in
-layer the bottom of a large pot with leftover cabbage
-place the cabbage rolls into the pot and add water to almost cover the cabbage rolls
-squeeze excess water out of saurkraut
-brown the butter and pour over the saurkraut
-cut the ham in strips and put on top for flavor
-place the bacon strips uncooked on top for flavor
-cook for 2-3 hours
-save the juice to pour over the cabbages
-enjoy!
