Ingredients: 1 beaten egg
3 ounces of SOFTENED cream cheese
1 tsp. Splenda (or to taste)
1 - 2 Tablespoons of low carb maple syrup
cinnamon and nutmeg to taste
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
How To Prepare: In a small sauce pan, over medium low heat, whisk the cream cheese until it is creamy. Then whisk in the egg and the other ingredients until well incorporated. Then, using a wooden or plastic spoon, continue to stir over the heat until the mixture becomes very, very thick and starts to pull away from the pan as you stir...it will become thicker than pudding...almost like a dough. Remove from heat. You can eat this cool, lukewarm or warm. I love this for breakfast with sausages and extra maple syrup on the side.
