Description: The tasty Polish way to serve Sauerkraut and it's low in carbs!
Ingredients: 32 ounces of Kraut( drained)
1/2 stick- 1 stick butter
1 large yellow onion, diced
fresh black pepper to taste
How To Prepare: Drain 32 ounces of kraut in a colander. rinse for about 5 seconds to get the heavy brine off. drain.
Saute 1 large onion in heavy skillet in butter until the onion is translucent. add kraut and stir well. season to taste with black pepper. We tend to pepper it heavily. cook over low heat heat 1/2 hour covered.

This is wonderful with pork roast or Kielbasa. It is traditional and there is a variation that is cooked with mushrooms called Kapusta (phonetic)
