steaks curled up and was not tasty

I am not knocking the recipe, maybe it was the type of steaks I used, but they curled up and I just found them tough and not tasty at all. Maybe if you could add what the exact cut of the steaks you use, it would be better.

Needs some kind of low carb gravy with it

My husband loves chicken fried steak and was a little leary when I made this... but although it's not as good as the real thing, he did say that it was a keeper. I've fixed it twice ~ once using hot 'n spicy pork rinds and the next time using the plain but adding garlic pepper, chili powder and onion powder. Also I would suggest using cube steak ~ not 'real' steak. I think this would also be good with pork cutlets.
