Description:
Ingredients: 1/4 cup flax seed
1/4 cup unflavored protein
powder
1/3 cup macadamia nuts
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking
powder
1 tablespoon oil
2 eggs
3 tablespoons heavy cream
1/4 cup water
6 hot dogs
6 wooden sticks
How To Prepare: Preheat a vat oil oil to 300
Grind the flax seed in a flour
mill or coffee grinder, and
put it into a bowl.
Grind the macadamias in
the flour mill or coffee
grinder and sift it into the
flax seed.
There will be a few peices
too large to sift in. Discard
these bigger pieces.
Add the salt, protien
powder, and baking
powder, then mix everything
together evenly.
Put the oil, eggs, cream,
and water into another
bowl, and wisk it until well
mixed.
Add the wet ingredients into
the dry, and stir until the
batter is well mixed and
sticky.
Put a stick in each hot dog,
most of the way through,
then roll the hot dog
evenly in the batter. They'll
come out very lumpy. Wet
your fingers and smooth
them out.
Deep fry for eight minutes.
They'll just start to turn
golden brown,
but darker because of the
flax seed. Remove from the
oil and blot on paper
towels.
