1 cabbage head -- large,finely shredded
4 green onions -- sliced
4 ounces slivered almonds
6 chicken breasts -- cooked, chilled, diced
4 tablespoons artificial sweetener -- splenda granular
6 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 cup olive oil -- or other salad oil
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon msg -- or accent, optional
1/2 teaspoon pepper
How To Prepare:
Mix salad ingredients in large bowl. Mix dressing ingredients separately and add to cabbage mixture. Stir to mix well. Cover and refrigerate for several hours, or overnight, stirring once in awhile . This is a LC adaptation--original called for ramen noodles. Sesame seeds were included in the original, but I left them out to reduce the carbs. This makes at least 6-10 servings and is great on a hot night when you don't want to heat up the kitchen. I cooked the chicken on my George Foreman Grill and it was faster than baking it in the oven--cooler too!!
