1/4 cup chopped celery
2 tablespoons butter
2 cans chicken broth
1 teaspoon parsley
salt and pepper -- to taste
10 oz canned chicken -- (10 to 12)
1 1/2 cups half and half
1 teaspoon guar gum
How To Prepare:
Saute celery in butter. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add chicken
and seasonings, reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. remove from heat. Stir in
half'n half and guar gum. Return to heat and cook until just about to boil.
tips: Buy a good brand of chicken. Hormel doesn't cut it. Guar gum makes
the soup thick, and can be found in the health food store. Well worth the purchase.
