8 oz whole wheat egg noodles(136g carbs -- 16g fiber - Hodgson
1/2 jar Ragu Double Cheddar pasta sauce(15g carbs)
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup heavy cream(2g)
1 can(4oz)sliced mushrooms(4g)
2 cans tuna in water -- (6oz each) drained
salt and pepper to taste
How To Prepare:
Cook noodles according to package directions and drain well. Put back in pot and add all remaining ingredients. Stir well and warm through over medium heat, stiring onstantly to keep from burning. If needed, add a little more water. If you are ambitious(lol)put this into a buttered casserole, top with
about 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese and bake at 400f until top is browned and bubbly.
*You could do this with just 6oz noodles(subtract 34g carbs and 4g fiber)and increase the tuna and mushrooms instead to reduce carbs and increase protein.
