1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup cottage cheese, 2% fat -- breakstones or knudsens is recommended
1/4 cup Egg Beaters¨ 99% egg substitute
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract -- davinci's sugar free
1 tablespoon protein powder -- whey, soy, egg, whatever you've got
6 equal tablets -- crushed (1 carb??)
1 cup crushed ice -- or about 7 ice cubes
How To Prepare:
Put all in blender jar. Cover and blend on low speed for a few seconds, then on high speed for about 30 seconds. When done it should be thick and smooth. You can add a touch more water if it's too thick to blend.
Serving Ideas : Coffee: 1/2 tbsp. decaf Folgers' crystals/your favorite instant decaf. Can also substitute strong cold brewed decaf for the water. Adds 1 carb.
Strawberry: 1/4 c. fresh ripe strawberries. Adds 2.6 carbs/0.8 fiber.
