Ingredients: 2 pounds ground beef
1 cup sliced onions
1 large green bell pepper --
cut into rings
8 ounces tomato sauce
1 1/2 cups TVP
1 can beef broth
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt and
pepper -- each
How To Prepare: Brown ground beef and
onions well. Add reamining
ingredients. Cover and
simmer over low heat for
about 30 minutes, stirring
occasionally to make sure
it's got enough moisture -if
it goes dry, add
some more water or beef
broth). Note: TVP soaks up
liquids fast -make sure to
check often.
