Ingredients:
|
16 ozs ground beef - as lean as possible
16 ozs 99% fat free ground turkey breast
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup shredded parmesan
2 tsp or so of garlic powder or salted garlic powder
2 tsp or so of dried oregano, ground
1/8 cup Italian style Keto crumbs
2 tbs olive oil - set aside
1.5 cups (a bit more than half of jar) of Bella Vita pasta sauce - set aside

How To Prepare:
|
-preheat oven to 400. line broiler pan with foil. brush olive oil on pan so it won't stick
-combine all ingredients except olive oil and pasta sauce
-mash together thoroughly - can use potato masher and/or hands to do it well
-form balls - should make about 25 nice sized meatballs
-put the on the broiler pan and bake for 15 minutes at 400 F.
-put the remaining Tbs of olive oil or so in large stove-top pan that has a lid
-put the meatballs in the stove-top pan to brown them further
-remove meatballs and drain them well on lots of paper towels
-wipe out any excess olive oil from stove-top pan
-pour into the warm pan the 1.5 cups low carb pasta sauce
-gently add meatballs and toss gently to coat with sauce.
-warm on low until ready to serve
