Description:
Ingredients: 1 1/4 cups protein powder
2 teaspoons artificial
sweetener -- splenda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon xanthan gum
1/2 teaspoon salt substitute
1/2 cup shortening -- Crisco
1 tablespoon shortening --
Crisco
4 tablespoons water -- very
cold
1/2 cup chopped pecans
How To Prepare: Mix dry ingredients
thoroughly.
Cut in the Crisco with a
pastry cutter or two knives,
as you would for regular pie
crust.
(careful, cuz the protein
powder is so light it has a
tendency to 'pouf' on you!)
Add chopped pecans. Add
water & mix thoroughly.
Press into pie plate & bake
lightly @ 425 if using for
pumpkin pie, until
completely cooked if for
mousse-type pie.
NOTES : Carbs for xanthan
gum not included - adjust
accordingly. (note: 2.67 per
teaspoon)
Carbs per serving - include all nutritional information if known: 23g carbs total
