I never measure, I just kinda guess at the amounts.
It is basically:
2 parts cream
1 part butter (maybe a little more)
1 or 1 and a half parts cheese.
Melt butter in pan, (low heat,dont burn the butter). Add cream, garlic, salt and pepper. Add the cheese. Stir and blend till heated.
I tried it with broccoli but found the broccoli overpowered the taste. So I took some fresh mushrooms, chopped them up and nuked them for about a minute and a half, (in tiny bit of the sauce) and that was better. It wasn't pasta, but it got me through a craving when I had almost nothing in the house to eat.
The beauty of this recipe is that the ingredients often are already in the house, for those 3am cravings. This is an authentic recipe.
