12 mushrooms -- large enough to stuff
1 package Farmer John skinless sausage -- (8 ounce)
8 ounces cream cheese -- softened
3 Tbsp bread crumbs (optional)
How To Prepare:
Clean mushrooms, removing stems. Finely dice the stems. Place mushroom caps in microwave safe plate. (I use a glass 9x13 pan) brown sausage and break into small pieces. Drain off fat. Add mushroom stem pieces. Cook through. Place in a bowl. While still warm, add cream cheese and enough bread crumbs to hold together.
Place in mushroom caps. Microwave for 5-7 minutes until mushrooms are tender.
