Description: I converted this dessert to a lower carb version from an original Bisquick impossible pie recipe. It truly is the best low carb item I have made yet. Give this a try you will not be disappointed!
Erin---
Ingredients: 3 cups sliced, peeled Granny Smith apples(3 large)
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 cup Carbquik
1/2 cup Splenda or liquid equivalent
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon butter, softened
2 eggs

Streusel (see recipe below)
How To Prepare: Heat oven to 325┬░. Grease 9-inch pie plate. Stir together apples, cinnamon and nutmeg; turn into pie plate. Stir remaining ingredients except Streusel until blended. Pour into pie plate. Sprinkle with Streusel. Bake 40 to 45 minutes (mine took 1 hour) or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes. I served this warm with a scoop of low carb vanilla ice cream. Cover and refrigerate any remaining pie.

Streusel
1/2 cup Carbquik
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup Splenda
1 tablespoon molasses or 1/2 teaspoon blackstrap molasses
2 tablespoons firm butter

Stir together all ingredients until crumbly.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): very good and easy, next time I make it I will cook the apples in a covered dish in the microwave, they did not get soft
Cons: a little dry

Positive aspects of the product (pros): apples!!!
Cons:

Made exactly as directed, except substituted Apple Pie Spice for the cinnamon. It was great to taste apples again!

Cons:

This is a favorite at our house! I usually use whatever red apples are on sale and it's still great.
