Description: This recipe uses Fearn brand Soya Granules. They are like little "bits" or "beads" of soy. They are crunchy and great for just about anything. You can even use them in Meatloaf. This "Breading" works great for Chciken too, just use cooked chicken.
Ingredients: 1/4 cup Fearn Soya Granules
1/4 cup Soy Powder or Bake Mix (reserve half)
1 egg mixed in a bowl (Add a little cream if you want)

1 teaspoon seasoning salt
OR
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning and 1/2 teaspoon regular salt

1/2 to 1 cup oil for frying

As many cheese sticks as you want (This breading will cover about 7-10 sticks)
How To Prepare: Put 1/8 cup Soy powder or Bake mix in a plastic bag or bowl and toss cheese sticks until coated. Set aside.

Mix up the rest of the Soy Powder or Bake mix with the granules and the seasoning in a shallow pie plate or something similar.

Place oil in small frying pan and heat with Medium/High heat.

Make an "assembly line" of coated cheese sticks, egg mixture "Breading", and Frying pan.

With your fingers carefully dip a cheese stick in egg and then place in breading pan and coat with breading. Be careful not to touch very much cause breading will come off.

Place in Frying pan. Quickly get the rest of the sticks in and turn down heat to medium.

Turn over if necessary and cook until both sides are golden brown. If cooked too long, they will split. But they're good that way too.
Number of Servings: 2-3
Carbs per serving - include all nutritional information if known: Approx. 8 carbs for total amount of "Breading"
Effort (Easy, Average, Difficult): Easy
