1/4 cup Ground Beef -- (or other favorite pizza toppings)
7 sliced pepperoni
2 slices provolone cheese
1/3 cup mozzarella cheese -- grated
Contadina Pizza Squeeze sauce (or other
low-carb pizza sauce)
How To Prepare:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Brown some ground beef, and spice it to taste. Take a slice of provolone cheese and place it on a plastic-coated paper plate. (Dixie Brand is my recommendation.) Microwave it for two minutes on high. It will get brown and crispy. Cover this with pepperonis. Seven of them cover it nicely. Place another slice of provolone on top, and then microwave for another minute and a half. It will get bubbly. Take this out and let it COOL. ALL the way. Now put on some low-carb pizza sauce. (Contadina makes a nice one with 35 grams in the whole squeeze bottle, but you'll only need about half a serving (2.5 grams of carbs) for each Darn Tortizza.) Add about 1/4 cup ground beef. Cover with 1/3 cup grated mozzarella. Place in oven for five minutes to melt the mozzarella.
NOTES : Counts for Pizza Sauce not included - adjust accordingly.
