One whole chicken (the bigger the better!)
One large-medium onion (peeled) - size depends on your bird.
Seasoning to Taste
How To Prepare:
Rinse chicken and season as you like (I use Garlic Salt & Pepper). Season the inside cavity too!
Peel your onion and place inside the cavity.
Place in crockpot breast side up. Sprinkle Paprika on breast (this gives the chicken a browned appearance). DO NOT ADD WATER
Cook on low for 5-8 hours.
Be careful when removing - the meat will literally fall off the bones. You are left with a wonderful/natural broth.
You can cut up the onion and serve as a side - carb count below does not include onion.
