This was pretty nasty. If you know what Johnny Cakes are (not pancakes), it tastes like those. I tasted it and it was awful before baking. So, in desperation, I added a little bit of corn meal (3/4 TBS.), or about 5g carbs. I also added a packet and a half of splenda (1.5 Carbs). That brings the batch total to about 21-22 carbs, net. Not very good, but it is kind of decent if you are really in need of cornbread. It was not sweet at all, so maybe it needs more sweetener, but some may not like the sweet flavor. Also, it wasn't moist, maybe it needs some water, or heavy cream

What size is the bread in your photo? I have a shallow 11" x 7" pan, could the dough be spread out evenly in the pan or would a different size be better? I have an aversion to just spreading dough out free-form, because my free-forms are all too free and completely unformed. I really need to be able to have a pan to fit the dough. Thanks
