Paula Green Cabbage with Ground Beef and Pork Casserole

A baked casserole with cabbage and ground beef and pork.
1 small cabbage shredded
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork sausage
1 small onion chopped
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 sliced bell pepper
1 to 2 tablespoons Greek Seasoning
1 can tomatoes
3 beef bullion cubes
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons butter/EVOO mixture
salt and pepper to taste
How To Prepare:
Place buter/EVOO in large skillet on med. heat, add cabbage and toss until heated, about 3 to 5 minutes. Remove cabbage to baking dish.
Use same pan brown ground beef and sausage, add onion, sliced bell pepper, and garlic cook until onion is translucent, then add can of tomatoes, pepper, salt (easy mine needed almost none) , and Greek seasoning. Let simmer 5 minutes. Then pour mixture over cabbage.
Place bullion cubes in water and microwave for 1 to 1&1/2 minutes. Stir beef broth and pour over cabbage mixture. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
If too much juice after 30 minutes, remove cover and bake uncovered for next 30 minutes.
(Soften 4 sticks of butter to room temp, add 2 cups extra light olive oil. Mix well, cover and keep in fridge. Will last a long time. Spreads like soft margarine, doesn't burn as fast as butter alone.)
