2 lbs. ground beef
2 large turnips
garlic powder to taste
onion powder, optional
2 cups water
4 T. sweet paprika
salt and pepper
1/2 purple onion, chopped (optional)
How To Prepare:
Brown the beef. Drain if necessary. Cut up turnips after peeling into small 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch cubes and add to the meat in a large skillet or pot. Add seasonings to taste and the paprika and water. Simmer for up to two hours. Let sit for at least an hour or two before eating. Good with a garnish of sour cream or cream cheese.
